This site, genai.club, is operated by Funnel Duo Media Sdn Bhd (1320543-M), a company incorporated in Malaysia. This policy explains what happens to your data when you visit it, and is written to align with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA).

What this site collects

This is a publishing and information site. It has no sign-up forms, no newsletter box, and no checkout. You cannot create an account here, and we do not ask you to type your name, email address, phone number, or payment details anywhere on it.

What we do collect is ordinary website analytics, gathered automatically as you browse:

  • Pages you view, how you arrived, and how long you stay;
  • Approximate location derived from your IP address (country and city level, not a precise position);
  • Device and browser information, such as screen size, operating system, and language;
  • Interaction data (clicks, scrolling, and mouse movement), including session replays that reconstruct how a page was used. These record movement and clicks on our pages; they are not a recording of your screen, your other tabs, or anything you type elsewhere.

The blog search box filters posts inside your own browser. What you type into it is not sent to us or stored.

If you contact us

We don’t publish an email address on this site. Enquiries reach us through our LinkedIn page, and messages you send there are handled by LinkedIn under its own privacy terms. If you do reach us, we keep your message and your contact details for as long as needed to deal with what you raised, and to keep a record of the correspondence.

How we use it

Analytics data tells us which topics are worth writing about, which pages are confusing, and where people lose interest. We also use it to measure whether our advertising and content are working. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with third parties except the service providers listed below, who process it on our behalf.

Cookies and similar technologies

The analytics services below set cookies and use similar browser storage to recognise a returning visitor and to stitch a visit together. These are analytics cookies, not advertising profiles built by us.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, use private browsing, or install Google’s official opt-out add-on. The site works normally without them.

Third-party services

We use a small number of external providers. Each processes data under its own privacy policy:

  • Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics: traffic measurement and reporting.
  • Microsoft Clarity: heatmaps and session replay.
  • Senja: the embedded testimonial widgets on our reviews and program pages.
  • Vercel: hosting and content delivery. Like any web host, it processes your IP address in order to serve the page.

These providers operate internationally, so your data may be processed outside Malaysia.

Our programs are separate

Our paid programs, events, and applications are run on separate platforms, each with its own sign-up and its own privacy terms. This policy covers genai.club only. When you enrol in something, read the notice given to you at that point.

How long we keep it

Analytics data is kept according to each provider’s standard retention period and then deleted or aggregated. Correspondence is kept for as long as the matter is live, and afterwards only where we need it for our records or to meet a legal obligation.

Your rights

Under the PDPA you may ask us to confirm what personal data we hold about you, request a copy, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop processing it. Reach us through the channels below and we will respond within 30 days. Bear in mind that analytics data usually cannot be traced back to a named individual, so we may need more information from you to locate anything at all.

Children

This site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Changes to this policy

When our practices change, we update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be made obvious rather than slipped in quietly.
